What’s the process for renting a PotPlace Growing Space?

Step 1: Submit your profile.

If you are interested in renting a legal, private and cannabis-friendly garden space in the ACT, the first step is to tell us a little bit about yourself by submitting your confidential profile.

Your profile will ONLY be shared with verified PotPlace Landlord’s and the PotPlace Team, who will decide on who to invite to viewings and potentially rent their space based on the information provided.

Step 2: Your profile is securely viewed by PotPlace Landlords.

Once you’ve submitted your profile, we invite our pool of confirmed PotPlace Landlord’s to view it via our secure 256-bit SSL encrypted server – which can only be accessed with a special password shared separately with 2-factor authentication.

All PotPlace Landlord’s are bound by our strict confidentiality agreement and we take special care to ensure your information stays private at all times.

Step 3: Attend viewings until you find a suitable space.

As long as your profile has all the right information and landlord’s feel comfortable inviting you to their property, you’ll start to receive invitations to view marijuana-friendly growing spaces available for rent.

During the viewing it’s important to be up front about what you intend to do with the space. Make sure you ask any questions relevant to the space – find out about any specific rules for the property and access to your designated area.

Step 4: Review and sign the Occupancy Agreement.

After you’ve found a suitable PotPlace Growing Space and both you and the landlord agree on the rules, it’s time to formalize the agreement and sign the Occupancy Agreement and House Rules.

This agreement gives you the legal right to occupy the designated cannabis-friendly garden space, so long as you abide by the rules, and allows you to cultivate up to 2 plants of marijuana as legally allowed in the ACT.

Step 5: Start growing!

Once the contracts are signed and you’ve paid any agreed rent and security deposit, it’s time to setup shop and start growing your precious pot plants.

Throughout your occupancy the PotPlace team will be available to answer any questions you may have and to help mediate between you and your landlord should any disputes arise.
